Product Owner at Country Financial in Bloomington, IL
The Product Owner role within the Analytics Center of Excellence serves as a voice to connect the expectations of business stakeholders across the organization to the Data and Engineering agile release train. Two positions are available. This position can be full-time remote or work a hybrid work schedule in our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL or Alpharetta, GA. The Product Owner will utilize strong business knowledge to make decisions about analytics features and capabilities to clarify and prioritize them for the product development team based on business needs. Under the direction of the Product Manager, the product owner understands the vision of analytic needs from the point of view of stakeholders and translates this vision to the Analytics Agile implementation team. The work done by the Product Owner is critical towards the achievement of project results to support strategic analytics efforts. Additionally, you'll:
o Work with Program Management to plan agile releases and sprints. o Define user stories and prioritize backlogged features. o Work daily with developers and testers to help the team meet product objectives. o Ensure the conceptual and technical integrity of features are maintained. o Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical departments to determine scope and identify requirements. o Support communication and change management needs aligned to new features and product enhancements. o Effectively manage expectations, scope, and schedule to ensure program targets are met. How does a Product Owner make an impact? Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones; tracks project milestones and deliverables. Develop Project Charter, Scope, Stakeholders and Project Team Organization. Determines the frequency and content of status reports from project team, analyzes results and troubleshoots problem areas. Conducts project post mortems and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements. Do you have what we're looking for? Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills including the ability to effectively communicate with leadership. Demonstrated experience with the Product Owner roles using the SAfe agile methodology. Good understanding of data and analytics tools and techniques. Outstanding critical thinking skills. Demonstrated ability to successfully work in a fast-paced, results oriented environment. Typically requires Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of project management or related experience (or equivalent, such as 7 years of experience or Master's degree and 3 years of experience).
Salary Range:
$100K -- $150K
