At COUNTRY Financial, our Insurance Compliance Consultant will focus on drafting and evaluating insurance contract language for our personal, commercial, and farm lines of business; providing justification and support to the Departments of Insurance for proposed contract language; and serving as a liaison between the underwriting/actuary/product teams and the Office of General Counsel for contract related matters. This position offers a hybrid work schedule and is based out of our corporate offices in Bloomington, IL. How does an Insurance Compliance Consultant make an impact? Researches, develops, and documents information used in the development of business recommendations, plans and decisions. Monitors, investigates, evaluates and analyzes legislative and regulatory requirements and changes involving insurance products. Resolves complaints when necessary. Communicates to all necessary parties any changes for systems, documents, contract language and/or plan amendments that might be required for plan and product compliance. Trains others as necessary. Do you have what we're looking for? Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction in which we operate. Achievement of, or significant progress towards, CPCU, SCLA, or equivalent insurance accreditation. Has shown consistent success in leading and implementing progressively larger and more complex compliance projects. Demonstrates an extensive background and knowledge of property casualty lines policy language construction and development, in addition to working through issues with various state governments. Possesses the ability to analyze regulatory, legislative, and judicial related activity and show proficiency in successfully identifying, developing, and implementing the needed changes with minimal supervision. Demonstrates consistent proficiency of the Six Sigma methodologies. Consistently demonstrates the ability to identify legislative and regulatory impacts and to recommend and implement the changes necessary to remain in compliance. Demonstrates excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present small or large group presentations. Possesses a well-developed detail orientated approach with excellent critical thinking, prioritization, organizational, and research skills. Possesses the ability to work effectively and persuasively within cross-functional teams and contribute to achieving amicable outcomes. Typically requires bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of property casualty insurance experience (or equivalent, such as 10 years of experience or master's degree and 6 years of experience) and 1 year lead experience.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Auditing & Compliance, Banking, Loans & InsuranceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
