be/CSVMnKCySsY PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Responsible for sales and project management to Commercial Agronomy/Grain System customers including supply and grain members, independent (non-affiliated) customers, and the GROWMARK Agronomy/Grain Division.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Conduct sales calls to develop repeat and new-customer business.
Emphasize the unique value-proposition of Growmark Commercial Grain Systems in ascertaining and designing the system that exceeds expectations of the customer.
To carry out a continuous improvement cycle of innovations both for sales tools and tangible product.
Manage supervision of construction projects by proactive planning, communicating, administering contracts and jobsite controls.
Manage safety, environmental, and other applicable regulatory compliance.
Pro-actively communicate within the Agronomy/Grain Systems Department to ensure and contribute to best practices in sales, project design, project management, and resource utilization.
Administer accounting controls on projects as directed by department and corporate accounting standards.
Review and report on margin performance for projects.
Locates, qualifies and hires subcontractors using approved protocols, forms and procedures.
Develops and regularly schedules subcontractors and trades.
Administers and enforces GROWMARK and OSHA programs, storm water permits, SPCC compliance and other regulatory requirements on sites.
Maintains job logs, progress pictures and field notes to document work, the conditions, and maintain compliance.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Attend, and exhibit where applicable, industry events as directed and approved by department management.
Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS Normally requires a Bachelor's degree in an agri-mechanical discipline, or the equivalent thereof, and six years or more of marketing and design related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of construction management.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
Occasionally requires extreme weather conditions, noisy conditions, dust, electrical hazards, heights, confined spaces, lifting 21-50 lbs.
Prefer an understanding of GROWMARK grain systems.
Will be required to work extended hours.
Will need to travel independently and overnight.
Passport for travel to Canada will be required.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
