Lead Radiologic Technologist - Heart & Vascular

Under supervision, the Lead Radiologic Technologist oversees technical procedures, patient care and work flow in RT area to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures utilizing various imaging equipment to assist in diagnosis of disease and injuries.
Responsible for initial and annual training and competencies.
Performs all essential functions of the Rad Tech.
Serves as a technical resource and subject matter expert for staff, management, and physicians in respective area.
Participates in scheduling of departments technical equipment service and/or maintence under the guidance of the Service Line Coordinator.
Participates in developing training programs and is accountable for staff onboarding and training.
Responsible for ensuring staff has completed new employee orientation and annual employee competencies.
Aids in the annual review and periodic updates of department policies and protocols.
Performs on call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs.
Performs equipment checks to ensure all equipment is in working order and there is no damage.
Aids in supply management to ensure needed supplies are on hand and available for procedures.
Including checking expiration dates.
Maintains updated physician preference list for procedures.
