General responsibilities and job functions:
Determines operations required to produce products and develops processes to ensure quality, cost and efficiency requirements.
Designs and implements modifications to existing equipment and determines specifications and criteria for future equipment for current and future programs
Researches and facilitates the purchase of equipment and/or upgrades to existing equipment
PLC/HMI programming on machines in support of product launches and Maintenance support
Supports development of the training programs of the operation of new and existing equipment.
Acts as energetic supporter and participant in the implementation and execution of continuous improvement principles.
Preparation of technical proposals and quotations.
Support customer proto-type builds and shipments
Utilize VA/VE techniques to optimize machine and process design.
Achieve program and departmental budget targets.
Active participant within the APQP process.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally
Ability to interface with our Global partners
Understands and implements the health, safety, and environmental policies, and integrates health, safety, and environmental considerations into daily work activities.
Coordinates with:
Engineering, Operations, Maintenance Technicians, Shift leaders, Operators and other Site Personnel
Special job circumstances:
Periodic overnight domestic and international travel is possible. Flexible hours are required.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification is encouraged.
Employee must be self-directed and able to work under launch demands of the automotive industry.
4 year technical degree or equivalent work experience
Ability to work independently with periodic direction
Project management skills
PLC A MUST (Intermediate to Advanced) or Allen Bradley, HMI etc.
Verbal and written communication skills
Excellent leadership skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
