SECURITY SPECIALIST (Title 32)

As a SECURITY SPECIALIST (Title 32), GS-0080-9, you will serve as a Special Security Representative (SSR) in support of the Special Security Officer (SSO). Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list:
Perform day-to-day operational duties within a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility in support of all Sensitive Compartmented Information-associated security programs and measures. Provide detailed research and analysis on physical, information, computer, and personnel security. Possess a comprehensive working knowledge of intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices. Implement policies and procedures required to manage sensitive compartmented information programs and to protect Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) resources. Function as a technical specialist on all Sensitive Compartmented Information security matters as well as other areas of classified security and classification guidance. Maintain currency on a variety of different security program interrelationships, requirements, regulations, and guidance in order to apply this knowledge to protect SCI facilities and materials from espionage, sabotage, and destruction. Implement policies and procedures for accomplishment of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) protection and security. Research, interpret, analyze, and apply various manuals and instructions, and local Operating Instructions. Control all collateral and Sensitive Compartmented Information and material within the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) affecting the organization's mission. Ensure Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) comply with all applicable construction and physical requirements, standards, and regulations as delineated by higher headquarters. Implement the Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance program for all assigned personnel, ensuring all required clearances are up-to-date and completed. Track and administer Sensitive Compartmented Information clearances for all in-processing personnel to ensure mission readiness. Provide Special Security Officer services for other organizations located within the same geographic area. Meet with key customers to assess customer satisfaction and resolve problems that arise. Provide oversight of unit and Special Security Officer security self-inspections and present detailed and comprehensive reports with corrective action taken to supervisors. Military Grades:

Experience:
You must possess the required education and have a validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career level, and have experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Experience:
GS-09 Level - Must possess at least 12 months experience, which includes a basic working knowledge on how to perform Special Security Representative duties and responsibilities in a Special Security Office; perform the day-to-day operational duties within the Special Security Office in support of all sensitive compartmented information-associated security programs and measures; research and analyze reports on physical, information, computer, and personnel security; conduct intelligence support operations, procedures, and practices that are necessary to accomplish intelligence functions in support of programs essential to state National Guard daily operations, training, and readiness missions; implement policies and procedures required to manage sensitive compartmented information programs and to protect sensitive compartmented information resources; technical specialist on sensitive compartmented information security matters, as well as, other areas of classified security and classification guidance; maintain currency on a variety of different security program inter-relationships, requirements, regulations and guidance in order to protect sensitive compartmented information facilities and materials from espionage, sabotage, and destruction; capable of Implementing intelligence program policies and procedures for accomplishment of sensitive compartmented information protection and security; research, interpret, analyze and apply Presidential Executive Orders, Director Central Intelligence Directives, Defense Intelligence Agency Manuals, DoD Manuals, Air Force Manuals, Air Force Instructions, and local Operating Instructions; comply with Sensitive Compartmented Information facilities, construction and physical requirements, standards and regulations; implement the Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance program and maintain current and completed clearances for assigned personnel; assess Special Security Office self-inspections and know how to present detailed and comprehensive reports with consistent follow-up work to ensure complete and quality discrepancies resolutions improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the lower grade level in the Federal service in order to be considered for this position. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
