PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

GROWMARK S Grain Division consists of an extensive grain elevator, transportation and marketing network that originates, transports, stores, and sells grain and oilseed commodities. GROWMARK has developed through our Retail Grain Units a team with strong grain experience to work closely with our country elevator network and in other strategic footprints. This role will lead GROWMARK Grain Division grain origination to exceed sales, service, and revenue goals with an emphasis on developing long-term farmer relationships to secure supply chains critical to success of the GROWMARK Grain Division.

SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP

Supervises, develops, and provides leadership to Analyst, Commodity Risk and Specialist, Producer Marketing Programs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Responsible for working and consulting with GROWMARK s Retail Grain Units, grain elevator managers, grain originators, and merchandisers in the development of producer marketing and hedging programs tailored to the company needs.

Responsible for planning and executing prospecting strategies to promote the growth of producer-oriented offerings via AgriVisor, LLC and MID-CO Commodities, Inc.

Responsible for contacts and a working relationship with domestic and international money centers that culminates in counterparty risk protection for GROWMARK, Inc.

Supervises the development and implementation of standardized procedures as they relate to hybrid grain contracts AgriVisor develops and markets. Coordinates with Grain Risk operations staff on the development and implementation of standardized procedures.

Responsible for coordination of member programs offered in conjunction with Illinois Farm Bureau and COUNTRY Financial.

Service existing and new accounts by communication through personal contact, e-mail, and telephone.

Presents at educational meetings and seminars and provides market outlooks and strategy recommendations at meetings for producers and commercial elevators. Participates in the coordination, planning and presentation of marketing conferences.

Responsible for the administration of the Insight and other managed bushel program, including pricing of enrolled bushels.

Coordinates with the Executive Director of Grain Division on the development of a strategic plan and the dissemination of the plans to GROWMARK CEO Staff and the boards of Illinois Farm Bureau, GROWMARK, regarding grain origination efforts, AgriVisor, and MID-CO Commodities.

Coordinates monthly operations and financial updates for presentation at AgriVisor LLC Board of Directors meetings. Prepares annual budget plan in coordination with the Executive Director.

Coordinates AgriVisor LLC sales and marketing activities with MID-CO COMMODITES, Inc. and other Grain Division staff members.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Brings to the attention of the Executive Director, Grain Division account futures market positions which are believed to be high risk. Makes market recommendations which are consistent with the individual account s ability to bear risk and the account manager s level of market expertise.

Takes immediate action to correct any trade error which occurs and reports full details to appropriate parties.

Represents GROWMARK Grain Division at various grain industry functions and association events.

Follows GROWMARK s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires a bachelor s degree in agricultural economics, economics, marketing or finance. Must have at least 6 years of experience in Over the-Counter grain options with equivalent experience in grain marketing. Actual grain merchandising experience desired, but not mandatory.

Series 3 License with the National Futures Association or the ability to obtain the license within 6 weeks of starting in this position.

Requires strong management skills, with ability to communicate in group and individual settings.

Prefer an understanding of GROWMARK and Illinois Farm Bureau organizational structures and key personnel.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Prefer experience in strategic planning, income/expense statements and balance sheets.

Ability to build business relationships and negotiate appropriate agreements.

Proven leadership skills, and ability to get things done successfully through others without direct supervision, including communication skills interpersonal, persuasion and presentation.

Demonstrated problem solving and project management skills.

Proven team building skills and ability to work independently as well as team oriented environment.

Must have a valid driver s license and passport with the ability to work extended hours and travel independently overnight.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
