PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Responds to customer billing protests and questions and processes adjustments necessary to solve routine and complex customer invoicing problems and is responsible for guiding the correction processes for all related exceptions.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Initiates complex billings to customers for fuel loads delivered or picked up directly from terminals using bill of lading or a wide variety of other source documents to place shipments and create accurate and timely customer invoices.

Reviews carrier load documents or other source documents for accuracy of data and utilizes that data to generate customer invoices.

Answers customer billing related questions and protests working with customers, vendors, carriers, and other departments to resolve complaints and correct billing errors.

Assists with fuel purchases and sales open records and working with various departments, vendors, and carriers to resolve and correct errors.

Provides assistant to Energy and Logistics Departments to assure freight and other energy related special charges or credits are billed correctly and accurately and accrued to proper accounts.

Works with personal computer and Business Objects to analyze and resolve billing issues and assists energy and tax departments with the same.

Assists with accumulating data for analysis of progress on departmental goals.

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS

Follows GROWMARK s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Normally requires an associate s degree in accounting or the equivalent thereof, and 2 years or more of related experience to demonstrates math and accounting skills and the ability to work with complex account invoicing, various analytical reports, SAP fuel system, marketing programs, and tax regulations.

Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.

Must have and maintain a valid driver s license and satisfactory driving record.

Understanding and experience with invoicing, billing, account reconciliation, and other control functions along with analysis and problem-solving skills.

Proven leadership skills and the ability to achieve results through others.

Proven professional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Demonstrated planning and organizational skills, the ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, prioritize work, and deal with deadlines.

Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Proven computer skills in using Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, and the ability to learn software tools for business and accounting processes including the SAPI database and how processes relate to the database and query tools related to the system.

May occasionally be required to lift 21 to 50 lbs.

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
