be/CSVMnKCySsY PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENTPerforms or participates in audits of various GROWMARK and subsidiary operations and processes, and annual financial statement audits.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs or participates in internal audits as assigned.
Audits include GROWMARK subsidiaries, divisions (wholesale and retail), facilities, product division programs, transaction cycles, and information systems (including e Commerce).
Audits include the following activities:
o Reviews accounting and operational processes (generally by discussion and observation) and/or documentation to determine internal controls and operational efficiency and prepares write-ups.
o Performs and documents audit procedures to verify that accounting and operational processes are functioning as intended, that corporate policies are being followed, and that record keeping is accurate.
o Determinesany necessary improvements in internal controls or processes.
Provide process improvement guidance by learning business objectives of key stakeholders and applying audit and RPA initaitives around those objectives.
o Reviews audit work performed by other Internal Auditors as requested.
o Communicates audit scope, procedures, results, and recommendations for improvement in opening and closing meetings with management of areas audited.
o Prepares draft audit reports for submission to management, external auditors, and the Budget/Audit Committee.
Participates in annual financial statement audits of GROWMARK, subsidiaries, retail divisions, and employee benefit plans by external auditors.
Performs audit routines in audit areas assigned by the external auditors, including confirmation of activity with outside parties.
Acts as liaison between external auditors, internal staff, and external service providers in meeting all audit objectives.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONSAs directed by management, the Director of Internal Auditing, or the Executive Director of Corporate Compliance, participates in compliance investigations to identify and document Code of Conduct violations and to analyze internal control failures in GROWMARK wholesale and retail divisions, or subsidiaries.
Responds to questions and conducts research regarding technical accounting matters as requested.
Participates in annual physical inventories at GROWMARK or subsidiary facilities as requested.
Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTSNormally requires a bachelor'sdegree in accounting, finance, or equivalent, and at least 3-5 years of related experience to demonstrate the ability to provide auditing leadership.
Normally requires an advanced degree or certification (MBA, CPA, CMA, CIA, or CISA) to demonstrate advanced accounting/auditing knowledge.
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and passport and have the ability to travel independently and overnight as necessary.
A passport is required as some travel to Canada may be required.
Ability to maintain independence and complete confidentiality.
Occasionally required to climb ladders and work outside of an office environment to complete audit procedures including inventory observations.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
